INVASION

The calm of the ocean is always disturbed by the tumbling waves
The dawn sleep broken by the cock’s crow

The insignificant seem to break the pattern

Simple words seem to make the heart do a flip and a swoop

And slowly the words are invading thoughts

Little gestures make you feel like a royalty

And slowly the smile weaves it way into the heart

How these simple things obstruct a contented life

Like rain drops unsettling stagnant water

It’s hard to explain

How they cause the human race to act wild, calm or extreme

It can’t be fathomed

Just a simple smile can melt the ice formed over a decade

A stare kindles a flame

These and many more like a slow fade change lives
Incomprehensible but definitely irrefutable

Christen it love or name it adoration

A synonym of admiration

A result of hatred and a recipe for fear

---------------Giggling ----------

Call it what ever

But I call it an INVASION

An unwelcomed but undeniable one

Not by a multitude of soldiers but by….

---------------Shrug------------
