THE CLOSED DOOR
I just can't believe the door is shut
And walking away seems painful
I’m stuck before it
Holding the handle
Looking into the key hole is all I do
All I see are illusion
Figments of the mind, memories
I sense hysteria keeping a close eye on me
As many doors open around I just stare at this one
The stark truth remains; they aren’t right for me
Or so I say
What is it about this door?
It won’t open, even with the same key
Force won’t work and grease isn’t any better
Sigh...
Open up door
I need to pick up the debris
I need to blow one last good night kiss
And walking away seems painful
I’m stuck before it
Holding the handle
Looking into the key hole is all I do
All I see are illusion
Figments of the mind, memories
I sense hysteria keeping a close eye on me
As many doors open around I just stare at this one
The stark truth remains; they aren’t right for me
Or so I say
What is it about this door?
It won’t open, even with the same key
Force won’t work and grease isn’t any better
Sigh...
Open up door
I need to pick up the debris
I need to blow one last good night kiss
